I frequent a plant store here in Colorado Springs called The Living Room (if you haven't been there you totally need to go) and they have this burnt orange chair that sits right by their front window. There's a cute sitting area that looks perfect for relaxing and reading. I've always thought it would be such a cool spot for a photoshoot.

When local model, Ashley, told me she wanted to collaborate on a photoshoot which incorporated her love for reading I knew this would be the perfect spot! I purchased some amazing LED light sticks from Amazon to use because I've been wanting to start playing with colored gels/lights but also want something small and portable.  I feel like when I use shops and local spots I don't want to create a huge setup to create a cluttered eye sore and not be able to shoot there again.  These were perfect and I highly recommend!

We arrived at the store nice and early to beat their busy hours and setup.  I love that Ashley brought an entire suitcase filled with books.  We set up, took some awesome pictures, had fun and then packed it up.  I had told her how hard it is for me to go in that store and not buy another plant for my insane collection. I was very proud of myself for walking out with a plant.....but for my babysitter lol.  Ashley, on the other hand, made a purchase of a beautiful ponytail palm!  I'm such a bad influence lol.
