Sooooo cute right?! You may be thinking, look at how he/she holds his/her head up, such strong neck muscles! Wrong!
 
Many people are aware but many people are not, that this is a completely composited image (a combination of multiple images). I'm writing this post to bring awareness to newborn safety!
 
Safety is a number one priority on any newborn session, whether mom and dad are holding him/her or if I'm posing baby alone. Please, if you are booking with someone else be sure they do not leave baby unattended or in a pose such as the one below without having a hand or mom/dad's hand on the baby. It is EXTREMELY dangerous. I have seen many photographers post behind the scenes of a baby holding their own head upright all by themselves and it makes me cringe. It is not safe in any way shape or form.
 
This is purely to educate people on how fragile newborns are and that not everything we see in pictures was done the way it seems. I take great care in ensuring your baby's safety at all times. I cannot, however, guarantee poop and pee safety, that one's unavoidable.
Newborn sessions are such a beautiful time to capture.  Our little ones change ridiculously fast and within a matter of days.  They lose their flaky skin and even their faces start to change.  You don't want to miss out on capturing such a precious time in your little one's life.  I always recommend reserving a date for when the baby is due if you are able to.  I'd love to photograph a newborn session for you or anyone you know so if you're interested please click the button below to get in touch with me!
