Oh my goodness! This sweet girl was such a dream!  She came into this world a little early but couldn't be healthier!  I can only hope that when my baby comes (I'm due October!) that she is as good of a sleeper as this little nugget.  Usually, my sessions are super quiet and I use a shusher as one of my tools to keep baby asleep.  This session was the total opposite and I completely went with it because noise didn't seem to bother her AT ALL.  I'm talking dog barking, baby brother yelling, doorbell ringing, people chatting, leaf blowers blowing-you name it.  

For this session, mom wanted neutrals and pinks and to include a tutu and crown.  Being the nature lover that I am I, of course, had to incorporate something earthy.  I picked up some baby's breath, ferns and little pink roses from a local flower shop on my way to the session.  Silly me, for some reason, I left the flowers in my van-not a good idea.  It's too hot to leave flowers inside of vehicles in Colorado anymore.  My poor pink flowers looked so sad when it was time for me to use them.  I was going to just use the ferns and baby's breath but mom said I could help myself to any of the floral arrangements people had sent her.  I gladly accepted and I'm glad I did because it added such a wonderful little pop of color. Also, I definitely learned my lesson!

And those pearls?  Those are the mom's.  I LOVE it when clients want to incorporate beautiful keepsakes such as meaningful jewelry.  Those pearls added such a gorgeous, classy vibe to the images.  Side note-it's not easy getting babies to grip things when you want them to!

Newborn sessions are such a beautiful time to capture.  Our little ones change ridiculously fast and within a matter of days.  They lose their flaky skin and even their faces start to change.  You don't want to miss out on capturing such a precious time in your little one's life.  I always recommend reserving a date for when the baby is due if you are able to.  I'd love to photograph a newborn session for you or anyone you know so if you're interested please click the button below to get in touch with me!
