Colorado Springs Photography Location Guide

From quiet pine trails to sweeping mountain views, explore the places that make your session feel like you.

Find the Best Photography Locations in Colorado Springs and Beyond

I am SO excited to bring your story to life! One of the most important elements of every session is the location. It’s the anchor point around which everything else is organized—and it can even help you decide what to wear.

Your location sets the stage, the vibe, and the theme. Thankfully, we live in a state filled with more stunning places than I can count! From the iconic red rocks around Colorado Springs to peaceful pine trails, mountain lakes, open meadows, and sweeping mountain views, there are so many beautiful backdrops to explore.

Whether you’re planning family photos, a maternity session, couples or engagement photos, senior portraits, a proposal, or an adventurous elopement, take a look through this guide to check out some of my favorite locations. Browse the photos, compare scenery, and find a place that feels like you. If you need help narrowing it down, I’m always happy to offer suggestions!

The season!

Some areas close during certain parts of the year, and others may be inaccessible because of snow or road conditions. I’ve included the best season to consider for each location, so be sure to check that recommendation when choosing your spot. Conditions can change, so it’s always worth confirming access before your session.

Accessibility

If anyone in your group needs assistance getting to a location, please read its details carefully to see whether the terrain and access are a good fit. The ♿ symbol means that an accessible area or route has been noted, but some locations are only partially accessible—not every photo spot may be reachable. Most locations have dirt trails, and dirt, gravel, uneven ground, slopes, or other terrain may not be suitable for every wheelchair. Please review each location’s notes and reach out before booking if you’d like help deciding whether a spot will work for your group.

Your dream location

If you’re planning an elopement, a proposal, or even a rare family photo session, don’t be afraid to dream BIG! If you want those postcard-worthy images to hang on your walls or share with friends and family, choose your dream location if it’s right for you. I travel throughout Colorado, and some of my favorite farther-away locations may involve additional travel fees and drive time—but the experience and scenery can be 1000% worth it. Go big or go home, right?

Take a look around, dream a little, and let’s find the perfect backdrop for your story.
